Our Perspective about JUDO.
The person who created & introduced Judo to the world is Jigoro Kano, 1882.
Judo was developed in Japan as Martial Arts system. It had been accepted as contest sport into Summer Olympics Games 1964, Tokyo. Only men categories competed in Judo until Summer Olympics Games 1988, Korea; women started as demonstration sport in the same year. Women started competing in Judo, in Summer Olympics Games 1992, Barcelona Spain.
Judo in Olympics is managed by International Judo Federation (IJF) founded in July 1951. Unlike it introductions stage & due to high focus towards Olympics, to some Judo is less significant for its self-defense benefits & it Martial Arts values.
Our establishments in the country is registered under Sports Development Act 1997 & Registration of Business Act 1956 P.1978.
Judo uses & integrates all parts of human body to produce force & generate strength in any combat situation. Modern Judo does not use punching, kicking & any sort of striking techniques against opponent in sports.
Unlike other striking arts, Judo focus more towards effective throwing methods. As at today, majority of Judokas spent more time in standing engagement or bending to grip, to off-balance & throwing their opponent. In sport Judo, scoring of points begin to take place.
Gripping is vital to dominate the opponent in Judo, from a proper gripping a take down, throw and domination techniques can be performed easily. Each Judoka must know both i.e. technicalities to off-balance or to throw and methods to counter throw or resisting the force in any combat engagements.
Most of the time, the mind & body of Judoka must be aware & comfortable to utilize all his body parts including back (rear) area, hip, shoulders, tummy & buttock the right way, either whilst standing or lying on the mat i.e. to capitalize, to escape or control their opponent & gain winning advantage.
